Description
Once quite popular, this particular whiskey style never bounced back after Prohibition. Maryland Style ryes tended to be heavy rye with a lot of corn, and a little barley, while Pennsylvania rye was often almost all rye. Sagamore is a blend of two mashbills, one very high rye at 95%, and the other 52% rye and 42% corn. The end result is a very approachable whiskey. This straight rye is currently from contracted stock, but they’re building out a full facility in Maryland, and should have their own juice soon!
