Description
Extremely limited release! Pechugas are not named for the species/variety of agave they are made from, but rather they are a celebratory style of (typically) espadín. During the second distillation, the mezcalero adds locally harvested fruits and spices, such as pineapple, orange, plantains, anise, to name a few. In addition, the mezcalero hangs a raw guajolote - a turkey rooster of the region - on the inside of the pot still. The espadín for this limited edition Pechuga was harvested at in 2016 at 10 years in Matalán. Only 1,100 bottles were made.
