Translating as "Rare Cask" in Gaelic, Casg Annamh is a limited run release created from a limited number of carefully selected casks. This no age statement (NAS) whisky was matured exclusively in barrels that previously held Oloroso sherry casks and was bottled at cask strength. Each bottle carries a number corresponding to the batch in which it was released, and each batch is a blend of whiskies ranging from five to as much as 25 years old, but the average age of the whisky is typically between five and eight years old. These Spanish oak Oloroso Sherry casks have a significant influence on the non chill filtered liquid and complement Aberlour's distinct style.
