• Bierschnaps is a distilled spirit that is made from a completed beer. Rhine Hall has partnered with a few local breweries in the Chicagoland area to make use of surplus product. The breweries make and finish the beer, bring it to Rhine Hall, where it is put into the kettle and acts as the fermented mash. Their still is imported from Germany, and operates as a continuous column still. After distillation, the Biershnaps rested in stainless steel for 9 months or was placed back in it’s original aging vessel before it was chill-filtered and hand bottled.
