For over 200 years, Ardbeg has been made on the small, remote Scottish Isle of Islay. Uigeadail derives from the Scotch Gaelic for 'Dark and Mysterious Place' and is named after the Loch from where Ardbeg draws its waters. It is comprised of a special vatting of young, intense whisky matured in ex-bourbon barrels and older sherry matured whisky that adds some rich, raisiny notes to your classic Ardbeg profile. On the nose it is intensely smoky, while on the palate it is led by sweet, ripe fruit and honeyed biscuits, finishing long and with fantastic balance.
